Gilcrease Museum Project

Integrated Design is excited to participate in the Gilcrease Museum rebuilding project! This project is more than a renovation; it is a reimagined experience coming to Tulsa. The Gilcrease is home to the world's most extensive collection of American Western art. The rebuild will now allow its facilities to match the world-renowned art they display. This project will be thoroughly modernized, with contemporary architecture and state-of-the-art facilities.

This is an $83.6 million project. The facilities are downsizing from the previous 134,000-square-foot building to 83,500 square feet. While smaller than the previous facility, the new rebuilding is still a massive project. The museum decided that demolishing and building a new building would be more cost-effective and better meet their needs. The new facility will be able to safely store its expansive art collection without the risk of damage due to temperature or humidity.

1Architecutre and FlintCo are the two major companies leading this renovation. They are currently working on the underground in phase one of the project. Groundbreaking is expected to begin in the winter of 2022 and be completed by Fall 2024. We are working for Alliance Electric to provide plumbing, electrical and mechanical for this project.
